Exchange fees & limits

Understand the $100 minimum, service fee, fixed receiving amount, network charges and reserve-based maximum.

Service fee

The standard service fee is 1%. A direction can have its own fee; the calculator shows the fee for your selection before you create an order. A created order keeps its saved fee and receiving amount.

How the amount is calculated

Receiving amount = sent amount × market conversion rate × (1 − service fee / 100) − outgoing network charge. The market conversion and fees are saved at order creation. Payment confirmation does not change the saved receiving amount.

A BTC-to-Spark example

For illustration, with a 3% fee and zero outgoing network charge, sending 0.01 BTC gives 0.0097 BTC on Spark: 0.01 × 0.97 = 0.0097. The BTC-to-BTC conversion itself is 1:1 before fees, but the $100 entry minimum still uses the current BTC/USD price. This is a calculation example, not a live quote. Use the fee shown in your own order if it differs.

Network charges

The outgoing charge, if any, is shown in units of the receiving asset and deducted after the service fee. A zero charge is shown as zero. Your sending wallet or exchange may charge a separate withdrawal fee: ensure the required amount reaches the payment address.

Minimum and maximum

The minimum is $100 USD worth of the sending asset before the service fee. Its USD value is checked when quoting and creating an order, including BTC-to-Spark and stablecoin routes. The form displays “Minimum exchange amount is $100.” for a smaller amount. There is no fixed $5,000 ceiling: the available receiving reserve determines the maximum. The amount must also respect asset precision and cover the displayed fees.

Reserves and existing orders

Displayed reserves are maintained by ChangeSpark and reduced by existing order commitments. They describe availability for new orders, not an independent proof of assets. If a quote exceeds the available reserve, choose a smaller amount or another receiving asset.

Payment window and delays

Pay within 60 minutes of order creation. An unpaid order then expires. Network confirmations and payment checks can affect completion; there is no single guaranteed completion time for every network. Late or disputed transfers go to support review.
